This is a very simple cucumber salad recipe and anyone can throw this together in a matter of minutes. This goes great with any type of barbeque meat and can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge until you are ready to eat it.
Things You’ll Need:
1 cucumber
1 tub sour cream
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Step 1
The first thing you will need to do to make cucumber salad is prepare your cucumber. Start by washing your cucumber under cool tab water to remove any pesticides or dirt that may be on it.
Step 2
Next to make cucumber salad you will need to decide if you would like to peel your cucumber, this is completely up to you. I usually leave the skin on mine to give a little extra crispness to my salad.
Step 3
Now you will need to slice your cucumber. I prefer thin slices but again its completely up to you. This is when one of those great little slicer machines would come in handy! You can disregard the end pieces.
Step 4
After you have your cucumber sliced simply add sour cream until your desired consistency (with me the more the better!), and mix well.
Step 5
Add salt and pepper to taste and your cucumber salad is done! This only takes a few minutes to make and will be a big hit with everyone!
Step 6
This should served cold.
Tips & Warnings
This would make a great addition to your 4th of July Celebration or any outdoor event!
Here’s my recipes: 1. Peel and slice cbumucers (about 2) place in glass bowl. Slice small onion, I do slivers. Slice bell pepper. Add some salt and pepper to taste. Add about 3Tablespoons of white vinegar, or to taste, but not too stout. I add a dash of oil, but you can omit if you like, then fill to the top with cold water and let sit in refrigerator until chilled, overnite is best.2.Tomatoes, about 3 or 4 depending on size, sliced in wedges, including seeds and all juices. Small onion wedged, cover them liberally with oregano, a little salt and pepper, then add cold water, and a splash of olive oil until covered. Chill in fridge.3. Peel and Slice cbumucers, put in bowl, slice onion into wedges ( i like wedges i guess) cover with salt and pepper, then add sour cream to mixture until very liberally coated. Put in fridge for few hours, the longer it sits, the better it gets. Enjoy!
